Welcome
I am a retired PGA Golf Professional and self-taught artist who works in many different genres such as coastal landscapes, figures and animals. My specialty though are my "Golf Kids" paintings. These are what I'm known for in the marketplace, my niche. These colorful impressionist paintings of junior golfers are cute and FUN!
My paintings consist of acrylic paint on canvas with an emphasis on rich vivid color, fine brushwork, and a strong contrast between light and shadow. I prefer to paint in the moment, meaning I come to the canvas with few preconceived notions about composition, degree of realism, and tools to be used.
I would be glad to paint a commission, either from a favorite photo or perhaps a similar version of a painting you find on my site. Please see my commissions page and/or email me for more information.

Bio
Born in 1962, I grew up in rural New Jersey with a natural affinity for art as a child. I started impressing my family and friends with large and detailed drawings at an early age. Although I had this natural artistic talent I did not choose art as my first career, rather I spent over 2 decades as a PGA teaching professional, first in New Jersey and later in Florida. In my mid-forties I decided to follow my passion for art, started painting prolifically, and eagerly began pursuing a second career as an artist.
Primarily self-taught, but influenced greatly by impressionist artists like Brian Simons of Vancouver and the vivid color of the French Impressionists. My paintings all share an emphasis on rich and vibrant color, fine brushwork, and strong light and shadow.
My favorite subjects are the Florida landscape and seascapes, as well as figurative works of chidren or a golfing theme. My background as a golf professional, has given me great insight into the golfing world, and I often am commissioned to paint a client on their favorite golf course.
My work is shown at Gardner Colby Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in the Third Street shopping area in Naples, Florida.
In addition, I’m proud to be represented online by UGallery. You can view my portfolio here: https://www.ugallery.com/Artist/thomas-manziano . Founded in 2006, UGallery is a juried online platform representing top emerging and mid-career artists from around the world.
I currently divide my time between Naples, FL and Asheville, North Carolina, with my partner Pamela.
Exhibits/shows:
2019 "Coastal Connections", Gardner Colby Gallery, Naples FL
2017 "Guest Artist of the Month", Gallery 14, Vero Beach FL
